CABLE TV JAPANESE AV STARS: SKY PERFECT TV ADULT BROADCAST AWARDS 2018

ABOUT THE SKY PERFECT TV ADULT BROADCAST AWARDS
Sky Perfect TV, known more commonly as Sukapa (スカパー) is a popular paid cable TV network here in Japan. It provides an abundance of channels on sports, movies, documentaries, news and most importantly, R18 adult channels that can’t be aired on regular TV. From full-out AV titles to adult-themed comedy shows such as "Chakku Orosete~ya" that created the infamous Hand Job Karaoke game. The Sky Perfect TV Adult Broadcast Awards first started in 2005 under a different name (Nihon Adult Broadcast Award) until 2008 where it changed to its current naming. The aim of the contest is to promote and reward the efforts of new and veteran AV stars that had been aired over the previous year on all Sukapa adult channels. Similar to the DMM Adult Awards (but not as gorgeous), the awards are held as a live event in Tokyo every year in March and broadcasted live on the network. HOW JAPANESE AV STARS ARE NOMINATED
Different to the DMM Adult Awards, the nominated Japanese AV stars are not chosen by the number of sales etc. But instead, are individually chosen by each adult channel to battle it out as their representative in the contest. The nominated Japanese AV stars are chosen and announced approximately around November of the previous year. Then for two months (usually December to January), the public can vote online for their favorite girls.

In the Sky Perfect TV Adult Broadcast Awards, there are 4 main categories. The main prizes are for ‘Best Actress’, ‘Best Newcomer Actress’, 'Best Mature Actress' and 'Best Title'. In addition, there are 3 more sub-category awards that are awarded to AV stars that deserve special recognition. Here is a brief overview of the list of awards given this year. Best Title Award Awarded to the most popular Japanese AV movie with the most internet poll votes. On-Demand Adult Award Awarded to the Japanese AV star with the most sales on pay-per-view channels on the Sky Perfect Network. Most Performances Award Awarded to the Japanese AV star with the most appearances in titles on adult channels on the Sky Perfect Network. SKY PERFECT ADULT CHANNEL QUEEN IN 2018
The winner of the 'Best Actress' award for the 2018 Sky Perfect Adult Broadcast Awards held on March 1st this year was Moe Amatsuka! MY PERSONAL COMMENTS
Once again, as I said earlier I am personally a really big fan of Moe Amatsuka, so I was super stoked that she received the top prize for 'Best Actress'! I'm sure we can expect more sexy and seductive movie titles from her this year! In addition to Moe Amatsuka, I was also very excited to see 29-year-old AV Star veteran Yui Hatano's name up in lights once again. Since her debut in 2008, she has been in hundreds of Japanese AV movies over the past ten years. I couldn't think of a better person to receive accolades for the 'Most Performances'. She was actually one of the first Japanese AV stars that I started following when I first got into the scene. To be honest she hasn't aged one bit! and her performances are always top-notch. Lastly, I want to quickly mention to the AV porn addicts out there, keep an eye out on Kanna Misaki. She isn't the flawless 'Idol' type like many of the other AV stars in this contest. She is the average 'Girl Next Door' type with a less-toned body but is said to be the VR (Virtual Reality Movie) AV Queen in this coming year with the most VR movie sales. She may not be the sexiest or hottest, but her erotic performances are turning heads within the AV fan community. Check her out!
